The forum is a place where people can interact and have discussions about computers and mainly Apple computers. We ask that you follow these guidelines to ensure that the forums have some productive conversation.

These rules and guidelines are enforced by administrators and moderators, and at their discretion they may delete posts without warning that do not comply. Also, failure to comply with these rules or our code of conduct may result in a ban from the forum.

The goal is to ensure that the forum remains a helpful and a friendly place to learn about macOS on genuine and non-Apple hardware.

We rely on all forum members to help keep these discussion forums a safe place for people to share and view information. To do this, we request that all members comply with the following rules when contributing to the discussion forums:

• Keep it friendly
• Be kind, courteous and respectful. Appreciate that others may have an opinion different from yours.
• Stay on topic. When creating a new discussion thread, give a clear topic title and put your post in the appropriate category. When contributing to an existing discussion, try to stay 'on topic'. If something new comes up within a topic that you would like to discuss, start a new thread.
• Share your knowledge. Don't hold back in sharing your knowledge – it's likely someone will find it useful or interesting. When you give information, provide your sources if necessary.
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speeches.

We maintain the rights to remove posts and threads to ensure that material posted in the discussion forums is not potentially harmful, useless or unrelated to the main topic. For this reason, we may edit or choose not to publish any posts, that are:

• Containing disrespectful or derogatory remarks about any person
• Containing advice or content that we believe is damaging, unhelpful or distressing to others
• Contains swearing or offensive language, is nonsensical and/or irrelevant
• Promotes personal beliefs in a way that is disrespectful of the choices of others or unrelated to the forum's direction
• Is racist, sexist, sexually explicit or suggestive, abusive or otherwise discriminatory or objectionable
• Do not publicly argue the decision of a moderator. If you disagree with a moderator's decision contact them or other moderators in private via personal message.
• Only one login is allowed per member. Duplicate accounts will be banned or deleted.
• Bumping of posts is not permitted.
• Off-Topic, meaningless and useless posts may be removed without any warnings.
• Only post your post once. Duplicate posts will be removed to keep the forum clean easier to find what others might be looking for.
• No advertising or promoting business offers of any kind or self promoting.
• Do not post any copyrighted material. This includes copying and pasting articles from other forums or websites.
• Attached materials must be related to the forums direction and related to the topics any unrelated attachment will be removed.
• Discussion of P2P, torrent sites, or similar download sites of any kind is not allowed and these posts will be removed without any warnings.
• Do not post or link to spyware or any other malware. This includes linking to other sites which may contain it.
• Posts that are promoting other sites, product or service are considered as spamming and it is not allowed and the members that do so will be banned immediately and permanently.
