MacNB
EFI for MacBookPro10,1 Retina 15" Mid 2012 built with OCLP 0.6.8. This MacBook has been "upgraded" with : a new WD-SA500 1TB SSD drive (SATA III) (partitioned to boot Catalina & Big Sur) WiFi+BT module BCM94360CS (model: Z653-0029) With the upgraded WiFi+BT module, Big Sur Root Patching is not required as all peripherals are supported by Big Sur. In fact, I can boot this Big Sur WITHOUT OpenCore by just setting boot-args=-no_compat_check MacBookPro10.1.zip Edited August 23, 2023 by MacNB Added WiFi module model/part number
Cyberdevs
@MacNB IMHO the 2012 MacBook Pros where one of the best generations of all time! The WiFi/BT replacement is clever, i recently swapped my 2011 MacBook Pro’s WiFi/BT

Replaced one fan that was slightly noisy but apart form that, very reliable (touch wood). The Retina screen is such a joy to use. Surprisingly, Big Sur seems to run better than the officially supported Catalina...better power management, cooler and free memory is higher. The only shame is DRAM is soldered on the 10,1 model compared to 9,1 model which essentially the same machine (except the Retina). Just awaiting Sonoma......
Cyberdevs
I bet Sonoma will run just fine on this machine!
MacNB
Yeh I am sure it will. Just don't want to touch it yet with Beta as it's one of my daily drivers.
